Really disappointing that Nicks is under an illusion thinking he’s been forced to explore more players than other teams. Not only is he using injury excuses but he hasn’t actually done any exploring either outside of playing the same unqualified players, not rewarding sanfl form besides being pressured into giving a couple games to strachan, dowling and curtin way too late into the season for it to mean anything.

Another makeshift midfielder with Max and a pure mid Dowling just 0 minutes in the mids is mind boggling. Centre clearances were a joke and just keep rolling out the same midfield.

A lot of morons support this club. Look how well changing coaches goes for essendon and carlton etc. Richmond stuck with hardwick and look how that went. Freo with Longmuire and they are humming. Hawthorn with Mitchell, but lets sack ours and rot in the wilderness.

The reality is , despite playing a top 2 side last night , like him or loath him , with all the analysis and resources available at his disposal, he's failed to fix glaring deficiencies with performance and structure, that were clearly identified in Season 1 of his reign.Laughable for this woman to talk about following a game plan for the rest of the season. Its suggested that Nicks was instrumental in the ball movement at GWS. (The orange tsunami) Did he leave the guide book behind ? Where is there any evidence of it ?? The team look lost most times. He's clearly failed to influence List Management , when he knew where we were short in talent. You've had 4 1/2 years to run the show. How do you justify overseeing a playing group that goes to sleep during critical phases in a game. Yet you look at how inspired some of our opponents have been after 1/2 time. Sydney, Richmond , Hawthorn etc etc. Thats all coaching !! This isnt a once off. This has been going on since his 0 - 13 start in 2020. The Board are just as culpable in this respect. As if to re-sign a coach that had a 0 - 3 start to the new Season wasnt a big enough red flag. I think we create far too many excuses for mediocrity in sport in Australia. If this was the U.S , this amateur wouldve been shown the door after Season 2. I was at Football Park in 1991 for all the euphoria of Game 1 against Hawthorn. South Australian football thanks you for the black eye Mathew Nicks. Youve set the program back 10 years.

O'Brien isnt the answer, recruitment need to draft or trade a ruckmen, they have had years to do it and haven't!!!!

Serious question for the club.If Grundy was rucking for the Crows last night would be interesting? I don't understand why over the last number of years ,they haven't recruited another ruckman? Either draft young one ,who would be ready now or recruit an experienced one who can tap ruck and mark around the ground consistently.....

Crows need to have a Modra so spend your money and find some better/experience players, you have gone after too many young kids. Nix needs to get our players to cover their men better. Glade we have Dawson he is a great leader and a great pick up, Need more talls. Get back to the bench Nix.

Hearing Nicks talk doesn’t give me any confidence for the next few years. I simply don’t think this guy has what it takes to coach at this level. Nicks save yourself from the sack and step aside. This club needs a complete reboot and it starts with the whole coaching panel and our awful recruiters. Yes we’ve picked up a few decent players but they are all gonna get sick of losing and leave for a Victorian team as soon as they are able. If Nicks is coaching next year I won’t be renewing my membership. It’s funny how coach’s have had “The full support of the club” then been sacked

🤦‍♂️ Can we please get a coach who can actually recognise game situation.. nicks does it every week. Hes just to easy to outsmart. Hes not the coach the club thinks he is, he doesnt even know how to play most of our young talent. He leaves players in bad matchups when its easy to see something needs to change mid game. Didn't watch the game. Thank f*** for that. Watched the highlights. We're so slow. No Crow pressure , no Crow come back after 2nd quarter. This group is lost , under Nicks. Its not our DNA . For years it was ruthless defense. Ive never seen this team play this bad. The confidence is shot. Ive been watching highlights of 2016 , 2019 seasons. Wow what a difference. This just exposes Nicks for what he really is. With the last part of the season its all Top 8 sides. They wont win another game I hate to say. We're a step up from North Melbourne in the scheme of things. I hope the board make some decisions in the off season. Some individuals need to go for how poor the standard has become.

I hope they keep Dowling in the senior 22. His instincts and execution under pressure are first rate, he kicks well and doesn't shirk physical stuff. I reckon more AFL exposure now will help his development more than more SANFL time.
